Diego visits his godfather 1

Diego was going to spend a long weekend, from Friday to Monday, with his godfather in Madrid. He felt a mix of emotions, because the truth is that they barely knew each other. Since Diego was very young, they had lived in separate cities and had not seen each other, although they knew of each other. Diego, especially, because his parents and his godfather did maintain a relationship, albeit mostly from a distance, and because he had also read stories that his godfather sometimes wrote, mostly autobiographical accounts of when he was a director and doctor at a boarding school and about his own stepson, who had had many health problems that were happily resolved thanks to the treatments detailed in the stories.

Thanks to this, Diego knew that his godfather was a caring person, although also very strict when it came to education and especially when it came to health care, and that he had a habit of always prescribing treatments in which almost everything was administered in intramuscular injections, which are given in the buttocks. Diego had been given injections many times and behaved well when they were prescribed to him. He was not afraid of them, and they did not make him nervous, so although he logically complained when they hurt, he did not throw tantrums because he was aware that sometimes they were necessary, but he also knew perfectly well how painful they were and did not like them.

This worried him because his godfather, with whom he had been talking for a while to prepare for the visit, was determined to give him a check-up and provide some treatment that could help him be in top condition for the tough task that the opposition he had decided to start preparing for after the summer would entail. Diego had no doubt that this meant injections, but he did not know how many or how often, and he feared that it could be too much for his buttocks, which were very sensitive.

Additionally, Diego wanted to take advantage of those days in Madrid to see friends he had there and go out to parties, and he was not very sure if his godfather would allow it or under what conditions he could do so.

Even so, he was looking forward to getting to know his godfather better, he was eager to enjoy Madrid and see his friends, and he also saw the idea of a treatment that could help him with the opposition in a positive light, even if it meant getting injections in the buttocks, so he confirmed to his godfather that he would go and presented himself in Madrid to stay there for the three nights of the weekend under his godfather's care.
