My friend Luis/Max

A group of friends were gathered one Saturday afternoon at Marcos' house. Amidst laughter and jokes, someone came up with the idea to try a game they had seen online: hypnotizing each other. Everyone, excited and a bit skeptical, decided to give it a try.

After some basic instructions and with Marcos, who apparently had a knack for hypnosis, beginning the verbal induction, everyone was surprised when they managed to put Luis into a trance. But the fun started when, on a suggestion thrown out amidst laughter, Marcos told Luis he was a dog.

At first, Luis started making barking noises and moving around on all fours, surprising everyone and prompting laughter. However, when they tried to "wake him up," Luis didn't react, remaining completely immersed in his canine role. The situation began to get a bit serious.

"What do we do?" Marta asked, looking at Luis, who barely lifted his head each time someone spoke to him.

It was then that Tomás, with a mix of nerves and amusement, decided to treat Luis as if he were really his pet. He put an old shirt with a bone print on him, and taking a collar he found on the table, carefully adjusted it around Luis' neck.

"From now on, you'll be called 'Max,'" Tomás said, scratching behind Luis' ears. "Good boy, Max!"

The other friends didn't know whether to laugh or be concerned. They tried several techniques to bring Luis out of the trance, from counting out loud to asking him to focus on his name, but Luis continued acting like a dog.

Meanwhile, Tomás started giving him affectionate orders and caring for him as if he were his own pet. He brought him water and even tried to teach him to "sit," taking advantage of the fact that Luis responded like an obedient dog.

For an entire week, Luis remained in his role as "Max," Tomás' pet dog. At first, his friends thought the effect would wear off soon, but every morning, Luis continued behaving like a playful and obedient canine. Tomás, seeing how dedicated Luis was to his new "role," decided to take advantage of the situation to teach him all the tricks he could think of.

Luis learned to "shake paws," "spin" around himself, fetch a ball, and even walk around the garden on a leash. Tomás dedicated himself to caring for his new friend, taking him for walks, preparing special meals (within reason, for safety), and making sure he felt part of the "pack." He even improvised a small bed in the living room, where Luis slept peacefully every night.

The friends created a chat group to share videos and ideas about new "tricks." One day, Luis surprised everyone when, as Tomás arrived home from work, he jumped up happily and moved his head from side to side, perfectly imitating canine enthusiasm. Amidst jokes and challenges, Tomás even taught him to signal when he "wanted to go out," by touching the door with his hand.
