The curse (4)

After eating, while washing the dishes, I heard David talking to his friend Roberto on the phone. I was invaded by a feeling of unease. I was already expecting anything from my boyfriend, and I knew I wouldn't be able to blame him for anything in the future. My fears were confirmed when David came back to the kitchen and said angrily:

"Roberto says you're a bully, that you demand too much from him and that you're always scolding him..."

I started to tremble, sensing that things were not going to end well. I tried to defend myself timidly:

"I scold him because he doesn't do anything I tell him, and I don't demand too much from him. Just what he should do. He's just very lazy..."

"Well, knowing you, I can imagine how intransigent you are with him. And I'm sure you can be really uptight. Roberto is very hurt, he's a nice guy and has always been a good friend," my boyfriend harshly interrupted.

"David, really, you have to believe me, I don't..." I tried to explain desperately.

"Alright, enough, shut up!" he interrupted me. I immediately fell silent. He continued, "It's clear that you don't learn how to treat people well, so I wanted to solve this issue with him. I told him that starting tomorrow you will obey everything he tells you. And you better do it, okay? So you can get along..."

"Yes, David," I nodded, feeling my heart sink. I couldn't understand how my boyfriend, usually so kind and sweet, could suddenly become so strict with me, and especially how he wasn't aware of the consequences of what he just ordered me. I supposed part of it was due to the effect of a hangover. Without saying more, David left the kitchen and went back to the living room, where he napped for part of the afternoon. As for me, when I finished in the kitchen, I headed towards our bedroom. At that moment, I didn't want to be with my boyfriend.

I spent a long time unable to do anything, not reading, not playing... just terrified of what my life was turning into. In the afternoon, I heard David getting up. He soon came to find me in our room.

"Hey Dani, I'm feeling a bit better. Want to go to the movies?" he said coming in.

"I don't really feel like it, David..." I replied without looking at him, sitting on the bed.

"Well, we can go for a walk or get something to eat if you want," he replied.

"Well... not really David," I kept my head down. "I'd rather stay here." At that moment, I really didn't feel like going for a walk with my boyfriend as if nothing had happened. I knew he could force me, but I wouldn't do it willingly. He was smart and quickly realized what was going on. He approached me, caringly placed his hand under my chin and made me look into his eyes:
