IV Reunion

Ian, who went to the pool at different times, was left wanting to see that man again, the one who had mistaken him for a girl, and he started going at the same time he had run into him that day. And he succeeded, because the one who always went at the same time was Álvaro, who did so directly after leaving work. There was a time when they only greeted each other, but on the next occasion, Álvaro, who still felt uncomfortable, brought up what had happened with the boy again.

• Ian: "Hello"

• Álvaro (a bit blushing): "Hello, boy, how are you?... hey, sorry about the other day, I don't know how I acted so directly without thinking"

• Ian (smiling): "Don't worry, I already told you that time, nothing happened, it didn't bother me, besides I understand... I wax, I have very long hair, I have hips..."

• Álvaro: "You leave me speechless, I don't know what to say to you"

• Ian: "Look, if you want, so you can get rid of that remorse, invite me to a couple of beers"

• Álvaro: "I'd be delighted, but... I understand that you're old enough to drink alcohol"

• Ian (smiling a bit mischievously): "Well, I'm 17, but nobody ever asks me, I'm quite tall, maybe that's why... and because they want to sell, besides you're going to the bar to order and I'll stay at a table on the terrace, I know where I want you to take me"

• Álvaro: "Okay, let's finish getting dressed and go"

They arrived at the bar, had two rounds of beer. Álvaro started talking more fluently, more animatedly. Ian couldn't stop smiling or rather smiling at him. They started talking about their lives, about Ian's studies and his plans to study at the university. Then Álvaro told him that he had gotten divorced two years ago, that his wife had left him for another man, that he had been very depressed, even with treatment, but that he was now coming out of it and that he was also enjoying their conversation a lot.

• Ian: "I'm also very comfortable here with you"

• Álvaro: "Thanks, kid"

• Ian: "But since you live alone, and well, if you don't have anything else to do, we could go to your house instead of staying here, dodging a waiter who might think I'm a minor or the police might pass by or I don't know... let's go to your house... sorry, I don't know if it's okay that I invite myself, maybe it's too forward, after all, I should respect you more, we're not two young guys... sorry"

• Álvaro: "No, I don't have anything to do and I'd be delighted to have you over, I think I have a couple of beers in the fridge, but let's stop by the supermarket first and buy a few more... if you have time, because I don't have anything to do"

• Ian (smiling): "Perfect"

They arrived quickly, Álvaro lived nearby.

• Álvaro: "Sit down, make yourself comfortable, I'll get the beers"
