Agustín is a man in his forties, mixed-race, very muscular, bearded and mustached; despite his height and build he is a very kind man, I would almost say permanently submissive. He is married to my cousin Patricio, also a very sturdy man, white and very handsome. My cousin is twenty-five years old, but he is every inch a husband, somewhere between paternal and authoritarian, like the old-school macho men. Agustín is fascinated by that. They got married here at the Hacienda a few years ago.

Agustín is like a sort of manwife who always takes care of everything related to the house. At three in the afternoon he shouts for us in the hacienda courtyard telling us to come eat.

Iñigo is the patriarch of the hacienda, red-haired, with long curly hair, a very athletic body, a deep manly voice. Nothing happens in the Hacienda without his permission and everything Iñigo orders is carried out. Manuel was the wedding planner for Patricio’s wedding and on that wedding night he met Iñigo and began with him a Master/slave relationship.

Manuel has slightly dark skin, a very slim body, a very pretty face, lanky and long-faced, very handsome, an intellectual type. Even while he is submissive to Iñigo he wears his thick plastic-framed glasses that make him look very interesting.

Guido is an Italian man; from what I’m told he cheated on Agustín with his longtime wife and then became his first Master… he arrived at the Hacienda invited by Patricio and now he is a sort of alpha slave who serves as a human dildo in the house when needed.

Aarón and I are the last to arrive. Meals have no protocol; Iñigo likes us to use them to talk and get to know each other. This particular afternoon, since I am very happy to have Aaron with me, I spend a very pleasant meal.

The only one who does not eat with us is Agustín, who, as a good manwife, serves us the food and clears our plates; when we finish eating he serves us coffee.

Iñigo asks us for silence — dear everyone, I have to discuss something with the members of the family — by saying this he excluded Aarón, Guido, and Manuel from the meeting; Agustín, being my cousin’s husband, was already part of the family.

I had never had one of these family meetings, but Patricio had explained to me that they happened when a decision had to be made by vote in which only those of us with a family bond would participate.

—Aarón, Manuel and Guido, go stand in a corner and stay looking at the wall with your hands on your head — Iñigo orders them.

The three of them get up immediately and each takes a corner of the dining room, placing themselves as ordered.
