A New Alpha in the Building

The new neighbor pleased me from the first day he arrived at the building. My husband Omar and I met him at the door of his house the day he moved in.

He is very tall, maybe 6'3". And when he introduced himself at a meeting of neighbors, he said he was 33 years old. He always wears shorts and a sleeveless shirt, showing off a good part of his body:

He has hairy arms and they are quite thick, with some hair on his shoulders that give him an even more masculine air. His pectorals stand out under his shirts, which although are loose, also show a thin and muscular waist. He has abundant hair that he usually wears messy, and his black beard and mustache are always well-groomed.

Since he always wears shorts, I have been able to discreetly observe his muscular and quite thick legs, as hairy as his arms.

"Nice to meet you, Omar, my name is Vinicio," he said, greeting my husband, who stepped forward to offer his hand and introduce himself that first time we saw him.

"This is my husband, Mario," I said, introducing myself. I expected a disguised reaction, like the one many heterosexuals have when we introduce ourselves as husbands, but Vinicio didn't make any gesture, maintaining his frank and beautiful smile, and he shook my hand as well.

Mario and I live in an apartment on the top floor of a building in a housing unit. It's a small building with only three floors. On each floor, there are two apartments, one in front of the other, and you access them by an outdoor staircase.

During the five years we've lived there, we had an old, solitary, and kind lady as a neighbor who died a few months ago. Her only relative was Vinicio, her nephew, who inherited the apartment.

Although Vinicio had pleased me from the first day, Omar always looked for excuses to criticize him - "he's a slacker," he would say when we were alone in the apartment - "we never saw him visit his aunt, and now it turns out he's her heir" - maybe Omar felt jealous because he surely noticed that I liked Vinicio, or maybe he simply envied him from the first day.

Omar and I are 30 years old, and we've been married for six years. Currently, we're not in a good moment. We never argue or have disagreements, and neither of us has been unfaithful... but the passion between us has been fading over the years, and now we're more like roommates than husbands.

We haven't talked about it, but I know we both feel that we don't have much time left together, although we make daily efforts to rescue our relationship.

Omar is thin, athletic, and handsome; he works as a delivery man for a food company, leaves very early in the morning, and returns in the mid-afternoon, already tired and wanting to sleep.

"At least we should have a child," I suggested many times, because I explained to him that I felt lonely, but Omar doesn't like animals.
