THE REVENGE OF ADRIÁN

It was a Tuesday afternoon when Pedro appeared in the office where Juan worked. It had been weeks since he hadn't visited him at work, so Juan was surprised when he saw him in reception.

"Pedro? What are you doing here?"

"I was passing by the area and I thought I'd drop by to say hello. Do you have a few minutes?"

"Yes, of course."

They went out to the hallway to talk quietly. Pedro was commenting on something unimportant about a job he had done when a young boy, about twenty years old, appeared with a folder in his hand.

"Excuse me, Mr. Juan," said the boy timidly. "I brought you the documents you asked for."

Juan took the folder and reviewed it quickly. His face changed immediately.

"These aren't the documents I asked for!" he yelled at the boy, not caring that Pedro was there. "I specifically told you I needed the March contracts, not February's!"

"Sorry, sir, I thought that..."

"You thought wrong! You never think! You always do everything wrong!" Juan continued yelling at him in front of everyone passing by in the hallway. "This is the third time this week I've had to correct your mistakes!"

The boy turned red, clearly humiliated by the public mistreatment.

"Sorry, sir. I'll go get the correct ones right now."

"You'd better! Stop apologizing and do things right for once!"

The boy practically ran away, clearly affected by the mistreatment.

Pedro had watched the whole scene with interest.

"Who is that kid?" he asked when they were alone.

"Adrián. A useless guy who always does everything wrong. I don't know why they don't fire him."

"It seems to me that you overreacted in treating him like that in front of everyone."

"I didn't overreact," Juan responded defensively. "It's not the first time he's made a mistake. Every day he screws something up. Someone has to tell him how things are."

Pedro looked at him with a strange expression. "Oh, really?"

"Yes. He's an idiot who's good for nothing."

"Interesting," Pedro murmured. "Well, I'll let you work. See you tonight."

Pedro left, but Juan noticed that he had that look he always had when he was planning something. However, he didn't give it more importance and forgot about the incident.

The next night, Juan was at home waiting for Pedro. It was one of the days Pedro usually appeared, and Juan was already naked and ready as always.

When the doorbell rang, Juan was surprised, expecting Pedro to enter with his key, without warning as he always did. But Pedro didn't enter.

The doorbell rang again.

"Juan!" Pedro yelled from outside. "You have a visitor!"
