The messages with Marcel became the gravitational center of Mateo's days. Each notification made his heart jump, each response was dissected word by word, each silence became a grain of sand for his obsession.

Marcel: Interesting. And why do you write to me, puppy?

Mateo stared at the screen for ten minutes before daring to respond. How to explain the obsession that consumed him without sounding desperate?

Marcel let six hours pass before responding, six hours that Mateo spent in silent agony while working on his plans.

Marcel: It's normal. Once you try real domination, everything else tastes like water.

Mateo: Real domination? Sebas didn't really dominate me?

Marcel: Sebas took care of you. I used you. They're completely different things, puppy.

That word "puppy" made Mateo feel a pang of excitement mixed with something deeper. Belonging. It was an anchor that awakened a greater need for belonging, but at the same time, he felt it as protection, as care. Special.

During the following days, Marcel carefully dosed his responses. Sometimes he took hours, sometimes he responded immediately. There was never a pattern that Mateo could predict, which kept him in a constant state of anticipatory anxiety.

Marcel: How are things with your boyfriend?

Mateo: Better. I explained what happened the other night and he seemed to understand.

Marcel: Did you lie to him?

Mateo: I told him it was post-session confusion. That my head was still processing what had happened.

Marcel: Intelligent. A half-truth is more believable than a complete lie.

Mateo: I don't like lying to him.

Marcel: But you do it because you know the truth would destroy him. That's consideration, puppy. You're protecting something you love while exploring something you need.

The way Marcel re-framed his betrayal as protection made Mateo feel a wave of guilty relief. He wasn't a traitor; he was someone navigating a complex situation with wisdom.

Mateo: Yes.

Mateo: All the time. I couldn't stop.
