Fran and her new stepfather

Fran arrived at his new stepfather's house with mixed feelings. Although the relationship between his mother and stepfather was already very solid, and the stepfather even had legal guardianship of Fran, they had actually seen little of each other because they lived in separate cities due to work, and Fran was at a difficult age where he was no longer a child but not yet fully an adult. He was an attractive, affectionate (very cuddly), and kind-hearted boy, but with behaviors that were still somewhat childish at times, not very studious (he struggled to concentrate, he said), and very shy about things like being seen naked, even by a doctor.

Fran's mother sent him to spend a few days with his stepfather and planned to continue doing so almost every week for a couple of days if possible, for two reasons: so they could get to know each other better and become closer, because she was sure they would get along well since the stepfather was an extremely affectionate man, and also because she was worried about Fran's health, whom she saw as weak and sickly (he was always getting sick with a sore throat, or stomach problems, or both), and the stepfather was a prestigious pediatrician who she was sure would go out of his way to improve Fran's health.

Fran was looking forward to spending more time with his stepfather because he knew his stepfather cared about him and was not a rough man like his previous stepfather, who never gave him a hug, a kiss, or any affection. This stepfather was a man who was always willing to show affection when asked and also gladly accepted Fran's displays of affection, even if they were sometimes more typical of a child than the young teenager Fran had become.
